I’ve just discovered Beautycounter! I happened to be reading another wellness blog when she started talking about how she’d found this amazing beauty company that made safer, healthier makeup. I was going to skip the sales pitch and read about her latest Paleo recipes but I couldn’t help myself.
Let’s face it, it is super hard to find safer makeup that performs well. I was intrigued. I’m always on the lookout for toxin-free alternatives for my skincare, body care, hair care and makeup. As it turns out, Beautycounter even has Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop endorsement.
Who is Beautycounter?
I started doing my research and I was amazed by what I found. The brand itself has banned 1,500 plus toxic or questionable ingredients from its formulas, choosing to make cleaner, more natural-based beauty products. They even have a glossary that lists every single ingredient used in their products so you know exactly what you’re putting on your skin. Basically, Beautycounter is pretty amazing when it comes to wellness.
My Review
I’ve tried a few of their products and I have to say, I am getting all the feels when it comes to Beautycounter. I checked the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep database and these products are stellar when it comes to safety. I’m in awe at the way these products perform. I’m loving the Volumizing Mascara, the Cleansing Balm and the Body Butter!
Body Butter in Citrus Mimosa
I’ve never been one to use Body Butters but this one is amazing. It goes on rich and thick leaving my skin soft and ungreasy.
Volumizing Mascara
The Volumizing Mascara makes my eyelashes look super thick and full without the clumps. I usually have a hard time with volumizing mascara but I’m really loving this one. I can wear it all day without smudging and smearing.
Cleansing Balm
The Cleansing Balm has really been the shocker for me. It is an oil based cleanser (I never thought I’d like one of those) but my skin feels clean and hydrated. It has vitamin C to brighten and raspberry and cranberry seed oils for hydration. I am smitten with this one.
Beautycounter Black Friday Deals
The one drawback to Beautycounter is that it can be a little pricey. But hey, you get what you pay for. Anyone who has been around the green beauty block can tell you it can get expensive. That’s why I’m really looking forward to Black Friday. I plan on getting a bunch of my favorite products and maybe even getting some for my friends and family. I found a site where I can find the Beautycounter Black Friday Deals as soon as they come out. Check it out!
